Description of Shimano GRX RX810 Groupset 1×11-speed
Shimano GRX – Explore beyond
Instead of telling gravel riders what they needed, Shimano asked them what they wanted for their offroad adventures. The result are the Shimano GRX components which represent the first series especially developed for riding on rough roads and through gravel. The Shimano GRX sets itself apart from the rest of the component world with its gravel specific ergonomics, optimized gearing options, rugged reliability as well as a quiet and stable drivetrain.

Shimano GRX BL-RX810-L disc brake lever
The Shimano GRX BL-RX810-L provides Gravel inspired ergonomics both for the bracket design to accommodate every kind of drop bar and for the lever itself featuring an anti-slip coating for greater mixed-terrain control. As with the shift/brake levers of the RX810 series, excellent braking performance is achieved by the brake lever’s rotary axle which is positioned 18 mm higher than usual and Shimano’s SERVOWAVE technology improving the lever’s modulation ability. In order to meet the individual needs of the driver, the hydraulic brake lever offers a tool-based reach adjustment as well.
Shimano GRX ST-RX810-R shift/brake lever
The Shimano GRX ST-RX600 dual control lever provides Gravel inspired ergonomics both for the bracket design to accommodate every kind of drop bar and for the lever itself featuring a curved shape and an anti-slip coating for greater mixed-terrain control. In terms of shifting performance the 2×11-speed GRX STI levers are at the same high level like Shimano’s top tier group’s road bike shifters. In contrast the braking performance is optimized by the brake lever’s rotary axle which is positioned 18 mm higher than usual and Shimano’s SERVOWAVE technology improving the lever’s modulation ability. In order to meet the individual needs of the driver, the hydraulic brake lever offers reach and free stroke adjustment as well.
Shimano GRX BR-RX810 disc brake caliper
Never hesitate to tackle rough surfaces with the hydraulic Shimano GRX BR-RX810 caliper. In doing so Ice Tech ensure excellent heat dissipation while the BR-RX810’s 2 ceramic pistons guarantee excellent braking performance under all conditions. The Flat Mount system makes it possible to attach the disc brake caliper directly at frame or fork. Trouble-free and simple maintenance is provided by the proven One Way Bleeding concept and the Easy Hose Joint System which simplifies brake hose exchanges (brake hose sold separately).
Shimano GRX FC-RX810-1 crankset
Shimano’s GRX cranks are designed to handle a wide variety of terrain and riding styles and feature a 2.5 mm wider chainline for more freedom in frame design and the use of wider tires.
The GRX FC-RX810-1 Hollowtech II crankset relies on a 1×11-speed drivetrain concept and offers the optimum gearing for every terrain and riding style thanks to Shimano’s wide range of cassettes and sprocket ratios. For the aluminium crank with a 50.1 mm chainline you can choose between a 40 or 42 teeth chainring which is suitable for the use with HG-EV and HG-X11 chains.
Shimano GRX RD-RX812-GS Shadow RD+ rear derailleur
The mechanical Shimano GRX RD-RX812 rear derailleur is characterized by quiet, smooth, precise and reliable shifting even in the most demanding terrain. This is mainly due to the Shadow RD+ chain stabilisation system which prevents the chain from slapping and dropping as well as from unnecessary movements of the derailleur’s cage, thus ensuring uninterrupted shifting performance. That is why an On/Off switch can be found next to the upper pulley, much like Shimano’s mountain bike derailleurs. When activated the rear derailleur pivot takes a firm hold to reduce excessive movement, noise and general “chain chatter”.
The RD-RX812 rear derailleur is suitable for 11-40 and 11-42 teeth cassettes.
